During a short trip to northern Germany I made a detour to Travemünde.
Together with my fellow board member Jan Moerchen I visited the "Fotohaus Pamperin" which is located directly in the "Vorderreihe" next to the port entrance. There are plenty of beautiful photos dated from the time GTS Finnjet...

It has been told by generations of the mighty GTS FINNJET achieving her design speed of 31 knots during the first sea trials. What they forgot to say was, she could go even faster.
On December 10th, 1976, 11:20hours Finnish time, GTS Finnjet accelerated past her design speed and up to 32,2kn.
